Family Matinee Movies Readied by PTA Group

Family "G" rated matinee movies will be shown to the children, young or old in the area every Saturday at 2 p.m. due to the efforts of the Panguitch-Hatch Elementary Parent Teacher Association officers and Rick Swanger, manager of the Gem Theatre.
 
A special rate of $5 per book of 10 tickets is available to every student from kindergarten to 12 grade as well as adults.
 
The matinees will include contests, prizes and a special visit each week by Gomer the Bear.
 
All of the surrounding communities are invited to take advantage of the 50-cents a show by either calling Karen Harris, officer in charge or Mr. Swanger.
 
The shows, which were selected by the PTA officers, Leland Riggs of the Elementary school and Mr. Swanger will begin January 15 and run every Saturday until March 19.  Tickets must be used for the matinees only during this 10 week period.
 
The shows in order shown will be: "Digby"; Alakazam, the Great", and animated show staring the voices of Frankie Avalon and Debbie Reynolds; "Journey to the Center of the Earth"; "Tarzan in the Valley of the Gold"; "Two Little Bears"; "Challenge of Robin Hood"; "Batman"; Elvis Presley in "Wild in the Country"; "Those Magnificent Flying Machines" and "Prince Valiant".
 
Mrs. Harris states, "Not only will it be a fun and entertaining time for our children on Saturday afternoon but it will also be one of several fund raising projects for the PTA."
