Summary:

After Brigham Young University decided to end its practice of editing movies, Utah Valley State College made plans to book edited films about once a month.  UVSC leases movies from a film supplier who distributes movies that have been edited to be shown on airline flights.  An edited version of “Shawshank Redemption” will be shown Saturday in the Ragan Theater.  Earlier in the summer, more than 450 attended an edited version of “Good Will Hunting.”  UVSC and BYU share similar student-body demographics.

“There are people who don't want to see the stuff in an R-rated movie,” said Mikelle Hartman, coordinator of special campus events for UVSC's student association.  “We are here to serve the students.”
