Renovation Planned for Theater in Kaysville
Deseret News, 18 November 1991, page B3
Summary:
Bill Call operates the Kaysville Theatre along with his two sons and
their wives. He first started working in his grandfather's theater when
he was about 5 years old. Call used to operate a theater in Roy, but
was forced to sell it because of a city redevelopment project. He is
now planning to expand the Kayville theater by adding two screens in
adjacent retail shop space. The expansion would cost up to $250,000 and
was expected to start in December 1991. The changes would reduce the
existing auditorium from 350 seats to 300. The new auditoriums would
seat 140 to 150. "He also plans to redo the exterior of the building he
bought last year, matching the facade with neighboring structures."
Bill Call used to own a theater in Roy, but was forced to sell it about
1991 because of a city redevelopment project. Call also owns the
Kaysville Theatre in Kaysville.
