Alpine Community Theater presents Oliver!

Press Release
Alpine Community Theater, 29 June 2016

Alpine Community Theater (ACT) continues its tradition of a big, family-friendly musical with Lionel Bart’s Oliver! Some of ACT’s finest talent, in a cast of nearly 100, have come together again for 10 performances at the Covey Center for the Arts, 425 W Center St. Provo, UT, starting Friday, July 22 at 7:30pm.

A Tony Award-winning classic, Oliver! is the musical retelling of Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist. The story tells of a poor orphan and his associates scrambling to survive in Old London Towne and begging for “more … please.” The production, directed by Laura Snyder, shines with high-spirited dance numbers and unforgettable tunes, including “Pick-a-pocket,” “Where is Love,” “Consider Yourself,” and “As long As He Needs Me.”

Performances are on Friday, Saturday and Monday from July 22-August 8 at 7:30pm, with a 2:00pm matinee on Saturday, August 6. Tickets are $14 for adults and $12 for Child/Student/Senior and can be purchased online now at tickets.covey.org.

Also, don’t miss the opportunity to see the cast in a special, discounted, preshow performance on July 16 at 7:00pm at the Valentine Theater on the Utah State Developmental Center Campus, 895 N. 900 East, in American Fork. Purchase tickets for the Preshow online at alpinecommunitytheater.org or at the Valentine Theater one hour prior to each performance.

ACT is a 100% volunteer organization, “where everyone can get into the ACT!” ACT provides exceptional family friendly theater experiences for the residents of Northern Utah County and encourages everyone to get involved and “get in the ACT”.
