The theatre that brings hope to families battling cancer

The slogan of the Hopebox Theatre is bringing hope to families through performing arts.  Every production raises money for a person battling cancer.

Jan Williams, a four-time cancer survivor, was battling Stage 3 ovarian cancer.  She was bald head to toe and feeling defeated when 30 of her former theatre students showed up on her doorstep and burst into song.  “Hearing them sing just filled my soul,” said Williams.  With revived hope, she started writing notes on a little pad of paper by her bedside on how she could have other people feel what she had just experienced.

The Hopebox Theatre opened in a building previously used as a church.
