The Off Broadway Theatre is Moving Locations

(Theater), 27 October 2019

Dear Friends:

It is with a sad heart but faith in the future that we must announce that, after 25 years in our downtown SLC location, the Off Broadway Theatre has been asked to move after our 2019 Christmas show closes.

We have been looking for another location in the Salt Lake area, and we have identified several options that we are exploring with various landlords, but we have not yet settled on a new location. Once we have determined where that will be and what our 2020 season will look like, we will let you know.

In the meantime, we invite you to come out to our current home at 272 S. Main Street and enjoy the last two shows we will perform here—Dracula vs. The Adamns Family, which runs Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays through October 28, and It’s a Wondrous Life, November 15 through December 21. And of course, Laughing Stock will still perform every Friday and Saturday night at 10:00 through December 21, 2019.

The board, staff, performers, and volunteers of the Off Broadway Theatre are committed not only to a terrific final run here in our Main Street home, but also to ensuring we will have Utah’s funniest, most original, family-friendly theatre and improv offerings up and running as soon as possible in our new location. Continue to monitor our website and Facebook pages for more information. We may be wa-a-ay “off Broadway” (300 South), but we will carry on and delight audiences wherever we land! (Flex passes will still be honored, and new season tickets will not be sold until we know what the 2020 season will consist of.)

Also, we are looking for volunteers to help us move out of the theatre between December 22 and 31. Most of our props, costumes, and scenery have already been moved, but there will still be the need for helping hands and pickups on those days. If you’d like to volunteer a few hours or a few days, please contact us at OBT1994@gmail.com.

Thanks for the first 25 years! Looking forward to 25 more!
