[Indefinite Suspension of To Kill a Mockingbird]

(Theater), 17 March 2020

Dear Grand Theatre Patrons,

It is with a very heavy heart that I am announcing the indefinite suspension of our production of HARPER LEE’S To Kill A Mockingbird. As always, our community's public health and safety remains the primary concern of The Grand. In keeping with the most current recommendations of our local officials, our theater and box office are closed until further notice.

We will be contacting all those who have purchased tickets for HARPER LEE’S TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD to issue refunds. I want to offer my most heartfelt thanks to the entire cast and production team. They have all worked so hard, and I am so proud of the show they have created. Hopefully we will be able to share it with you sometime in the near future. We have requested a postponement from the play’s licensing agent and we will keep you updated with any new developments regarding that request.

We are still planning to move forward with THE PRODUCERS, which will open May 13. We will of course continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation in our state and will keep you informed of any changes to that show's schedule as well.

Please keep an eye out for the announcement of our 2020–2021 season, which we will be sharing with you in the next few weeks.

Thank you for your continued support of The Grand and of our community.

Sincerely,
Seth Miller
