Bountiful's New Opera House
Davis County Clipper, 2 September 1910, page 1
The details for the stage of the Bountiful opera house were threshed out last night by the board of directors. The stage will be 24 feet deep and 40 feet wide, with dressing rooms on the stage floor. This will be a very good stage, large enough to accommodate the largest traveling troupes on the circuit.
A committee was appointed to buy 200 opera chairs, which will take about two weeks to get from the factory. They will get first class chairs.
The walls of the house are being built in the most substantial way of material the best to protect against heat and cold.
Two five foot and two three foot openings are bing built in the rear for ventilation and exit so that patrons need have no fear of being burned alive or of breathing impure air.
While building, the show will continue just the same, every Wednesday and Saturday night, at 8:30. They do not expect to miss a show.
