Gets Modern Equipment for New Star Theater
Grand Valley Times, 11 September 1919, page 8
D. A. Johnson, manager of the Star theater, returned Tuesday from Salt Lake City, where he had been for ten days purchasing equipment for the Star theater, the moving picture house that will start soon in the Star hall. Mr. Johnson states that all of the equipment has been shipped, and should reach Moab in time for opening the theater to the public by October 1. Many experienced theater men in Salt Lake told Mr. Johnson that he had secured an outfit that is the very best money can buy. The equipment which is modern in every respect, includes a 12 horsepower engine and dynamo for the power house, as well as a projecting machine of the latest modern, and an expensive screen.
Mr. Johnson did not contract for his film service, but is considering various programs submitted to him and will close a contract within a few weeks.
