The installation of the new R. C. A. sound equipment at the Vogue theatre was completed during the week and the opening show will be held Friday night, according to Mrs. E. R. L. Cooper, manager. Emil DeNouf, of San Francisco, California, installation and service representative of R. C. A. and O. J. Hazen of Salt Lake City, representative of the National Theatre Supply company, have had charge of the installation of the new equipment.
The new equipment, consisting of new Peerless arc lamps and a larger screen, will make the pictures much clearer. The old lamps were power lamps and the screen was 10 x 12, while the new screen will be 12 x 16. The Super-Simplex machines are also being installed, which are the very latest products of the R. C. A. These machines are used in the largest and most modern show houses in the country.
Vernal and Ashley Valley should be proud of the new equipment, according to Mr. DeNeuf, as pictures will be reproduced in the local theatre as successfully as in any theatre in the west. There is only one other equipment as modern as that being installed at the Vogue in the entire state, according to Mr. DeNeuf.
