Intermountain Theaters, cognizant of the fact that the finest screen results are obtained when every department of the theater is called upon to render efficient service, have installed the most complete and perfected projection available in the new Centre Theater, opening tomorrow. Probably no other factor in the motion picture industry today is receiving as much attention as the projection room, and the Centre has kept pace with all of the latest developments, including the new Motiograph Model K machines with Brenkert high intensity arc lamps and effect machines, have been installed in the new projection room.
Operated With Photophone
These are operated in connection with R. C. A. Photophone reproducers and the coordination of this highly efficient machinery insures the finest results in the reproduction of sound motion pictures.
An extreme condition prevails in the Centre Theater in the matter of projection. The screen has an immense area and the distance from the projector is approximately one hundred and fifty feet. Probably the largest light throw for motion pictures in the entire West. Special lenses were installed to meet this requirement and an enormous amount of candle power is used for illumination of the large screen. The rectification of the current supply is accomplished through the use of two high amperage generators installed in a special control room adjacent to the main operating room.
Special power lines are fed into the building and only under extreme conditions would this theater ever find itself without electric service. This feature coupled with many others is part of the program of maintaining constant operation without fear of interruption.
