Summary:

Developer Rich Haws began buying land for Station Park in 1996.   After working with Farmington to develop the land from 2000 to 2006, he sold it to California-based CenterCal Properties.

CenterCal officially began work on Station Park with a groundbreaking ceremony on 13 August 2008.  Crews are building an offramp that will feed directly into Station Park from Park Lane.  As a transit-oriented development, Station Park allows commuters to spend money as soon as they exit their train.   In addition to a 16-screen Cinemark movie theater, the $200 million-plus power center will include a ice skating rink and fountain.

Station Park is expected to open in the spring of 2010.
