The Seagull Theatre will have its grand opening Wednesday at 1458 S. Main with the staging of "The Romancers," the play on which "The Fantasticks" is based.
Curtain time is 8 p.m. and the work will be presented through Saturday and again from Sept. 29 through Oct. 2.
Salt Lake City's newest theater is a partnership between Kim Folsom and Joe Hall. Seating capacity is 200. A special attraction is the theatrical museum featuring antique items from Utah's and the nation's theatrical past.
Cast members for "The Romancers" are Randy Milligan, Craig Cook, Karen Ashcroft, Mark Lyon and Mike McGlone.
The next Seagull Theatre presentation will be "Summertree."
