The Terrace Plaza Playhouse opens next week with three separate productions, “Scrooge,” “Babes in Toyland”, and “The Wondrous Night”. Beverly Olsen, formerly allied with the Pages Lane Theater, and her partners spent more than $300,000 remodeling an old Smith's supermarket in Washington Terrace, a suburb of Ogden, into a 315 seat theater with a trust stage. The building had been vacant for five years and the roof had to be retarred to bring it up to code. The theater will be operated as a nonprofit and will also have a year-round acting school. Partners are Blaine and Beverly Olsen, Fruit Heights; Kim and Jacci Florence, Layton; Joseph and Tami Olsen, South Ogden; and Rob and Patti Johnson, Sandy. They plan build a mini-mall in the rest of the structure.
