The auditorium in the Lehi Arts Center seats 100 and has a combined dressing and green room. For years it has needed a larger theater for its performances. After looking at school auditoriums and finding scheduling conflicts for the 2009 holiday season, the Lehi City Arts Council entered into an agreement with property owner Tom Grassley to use retail space next to Partyland (310 North 580 East) that had been vacant for three years due to the tough economy. High Craft Construction built out the interior at a cost of $9,000, which the Lehi Arts Center hopes to recoup from revenue from four productions scheduled at the temporary venue. The Partyland Center of the Performing Arts opens on 15 October 2009 with "Jekyll and Hyde" and may close with its December musical "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever." The 6,000-square-foot center features 215 to 250 seats and “ample space for a green room for the cast and staff and women's and men's dressing rooms.” Once the space is leased to a business, the Arts Council will have to find a new venue once again.
