The [I...] N. Strike Amusement company of Salt Lake purchased the Thorley theatre. Negotiations were completed whereby Mr. Strike, who operates a chain of theatres in Utah, took over the southern playhouse.
The theatre will be known as “Thorley's Gem.” Plans are already under way for the expenditure of close to $25,000 for renovations, which include the putting in of a large pipe organ, a new stage, enlarging the seating capacity and putting in wicker furniture and loges. The highest class photoplays will be shown.
