A $5 million renovation project on Valley Fair shopping mall is under way, with site preparations for construction of a food court and expansion of the mall's movie theater complex.
Construction preparations began Monday, said Richard Flack, general manager of the 16-year-old shopping center owned by Winmar Company Inc.
The food court will provide space for 14 vendors of international cuisine and a 350-seat eating area.
Six new theaters will be added to the existing four theater movie complex, a Winmar spokesman said.
