Salt Lake Tribune, 1 October 1965, page E1
Thursday was a big day, a bright day, for nearly 800 handicapped persons and shut-ins from nursing homes, children's hospitals and day-care centers from throughout northern Utah.
The big occasion was the annual viewing of a Cinerama production at the Villa Theatre.
Bible Spectacular
On Thursday's outing the special guests watched "The Greatest Story Ever Told."
About 800 more of these guests will see another showing Friday at 1 p.m. at the theater.
Buses, cars, wheelchairs and crutches were the chief sources of transportation as the shut-ins arrived early for the show.
2-Day Event
The two-day event is sponsored by Fox-Intermountain Theatres, Cinerama Inc., the Villa Theatre and The Salt Lake Tribune.
In addition, the International Association of Theatre and Stage Employes at the Villa donated their time for the showing, and the Salt Lake Kiwanis Club provided transportation for the Salt Lake area guests.
Patients from Ogden, Salt Lake, Provo and American Fork hospitals, nursing homes, day-care centers and children's hospitals participated Thursday.
