Grand Prix Spectacle Premieres Tonight at Villa

"Grand Prix," a cinerama spectacle of European sportscar racing, will premiere Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Villa Theater, 3092 Highland Dr.
Wednesday night's premiere, sponsored by the Salt Lake Kiwanis Club, will be for the benefit of the Kiwanis Felt Youth Center.
Thursday night's proceeds will go to the Holladay Children's Center. Sponsors will be the Holladay-Cottonwood Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Utah Region Sports Car Club of America.
The picture stars James Garner, Eva Marie Saint, Yves Montand, Toshiro Mifune, Brian Bedford, Jessica Walter, Antonio Sabato and Francoise Hardy. The world premiere was held in San Fransisco.
In the film, which tells the story of the competition for the World Championship of Drivers over a Grand Prix season across Europe, Montand portrays a champion racer.
He does most of his own driving for the picture in a flaming red Ferrari.
The automobile was fitted with an electronically controlled camera rig, operated by radio from the side of the racing course.
Miss Saint plays an American fasion editor with whom Montand is romantically involved.
