New Drive-in Movie Slated on 9th East
Salt Lake Tribune, 8 March 1967, page 2B
Fox Intermountain Theatres Inc. will build a 1,056-car drive-in movie at 5600-9th East, the firm announced Tuesday, as a replacement for the Oak Hills Drive-in razed three years ago.
Planned to be opened in early summer, the structure will provide the latest facilities in screen, sound and projection and an auxiliary playground.
Patrons will be served by a cafeteria in the projection building complex at the center of the parking area.
Fox Intermountain operates four theaters in the Salt Lake area and is constructing an 800-seat theater in Provo. It will be opened in early June.
