Mall Theater Expansion Planned

Mann Theatres, Los Angeles, announced it will build a million-dollar, four-theater complex at the Cottonwood Mall Shopping Center.
The existing Fox Cottonwood Mall Theater, now with 1,000 seats, will be converted into two theaters with seating of 600 and 400, respectively.
Two additional theaters, with seating of 300 each, will be added to the building.
The redevelopment of the old theater and construction of the two additions is being done by Horman Construction Co., owners and developers of the mall.
Design is by Mel Glatz and Associates, Denver, among the nation's leading theater architects. The firm also designed the original theater.
Mann is engaged in a national expansion program which will give it 75 new theaters by the end of 1976.
Theaters it has recently opened or will open in the Intermountain Area include:
- A three-screen complex at the Cache Valley Mall in Logan.
Pocatello Complex
- A three-screen complex at the Alameda Shopping Center in Pocatello, Idaho.
- A four-screen complex at the Carillon Shopping Center in Orem.
- A three-screen complex at the Yellowstone Plaza in Idaho Falls, Idaho, in the spring of 1977.
The firm also expects to add one or two theaters to the Villa Theatre, Salt Lake City, in the spring of 1977.
The Cottonwood Mall Theaters will be supervised by Ted Kirkmeyer, Salt Lake City.
