In a constant effort to provide patrons with the finest movie entertainment and comfort the Gem theatre recently installed approximately $2,500 worth of new machines in their projection booth. This installation includes new machines with the latest fire proof attachments, new bases and improved portions of their sound to the dual amplification sound system, which has also been installed since the remodeling of the theatre the last year or two.
Mr. Roberts invites the public to inspect the new improvements throughout the theatre, which do not only consist of the improvements in the projection booth, but the heating and cooling system, as well as the recently installed florescent lighting in the the theatre auditorium. For a tour through the projection booth, however, it is requested that this be arranged at some time except during show hours to conform with the regulations obliged by all theatres.
New and lower admission prices became effective last week, offering special student prices to patrons between the ages of 12 and 16. The purpose for this new admission consideration, as it stated by Mr. Roberts, is to encourage persons between those ages to attend the show programs more regularly, and to benefit more fully from the wholesome entertainment found in good moving pictures.
