Talkie a Success
Garfield County News, 14 February 1930, page 1
The first talking picture ever played in Panguitch was shown to a packed house Saturday February 18, by 0. E. McIff at the Hub Theatre. The talkie is a success in every sense of the word, having a clear, loud tone which pleases everyone who has heard it.
Those who have heard the talkies in the larger theatres say that the one installed by Mr. McIff is as good as any of them. The theatre-going public of Panguitch are very fortunate in having the opportunity of hearing such a splendid talkie in a city of this size.
Mr. McIff has many fine shows booked for the future, and we sincerely hope that they receive the patronage they justly deserve.
